[heart game]

There is a click, a soft urging, almost whispered too soft to hear, but you can sense that you are being beckoned somewhere, lead to an elaborate open door with wood panels and great curls of gold leaf. You cannot see what is beyond the door, but it smells sour and sharp. Before you can turn over the thought of should you or shouldn't you, if you are the kind, there is a quiet push at your back and through the door you go . . .

Join #supersafe, because I like being misleading. When in doubt, use this for flower meanings if you character is the type . . .

With the monsters, by the way. Shh, I am on top of it . . .

When you enter the maze, you realize that you may not have to pay as close attention to which way you turn. The hedges are short, only coming up to your shoulders at most, and cut away completely in other places. The branches and leaves are scattered and broken as if they were carelessly cut down. Nested in the sea of hedges are thorns, nails, and the occasional scissors . . . Well, it looks like if you want to cut through, you should still be careful.

Not that you really should need to cut through, you have the maze completely remembered by now, don't you? You know where you wish to go, so go, then.

Off the edge of the veranda, down the hill away from the maze, you can see what looks like the remants of a fire. A soft paw, a curl of paper here and there, gives away what was burned, but it seems like it has long gone out. The few pieces of something that was Peridot green in the ashes answers the question of where that book might be . . .

He glances at Vincent uneasily, rolling that thought over, "I don't know."

There are many titles and colors of books. Even if many are missing, there are still quite a few . . .

They aren't in order of color, and you can see there are a few gaps where the books lean on each other . . . Perhaps, there is another system at work here.

Astute with rather sharp senses, finally some reason to this team . . .

He isn't fond of emotions or outbursts, how cute. Still, he is as weak to Obsidian as anyone; he isn't heartless, then.

[personal profile] dramatispersonae 2013-07-23 02:32 am (UTC)(link)
Gilbert nods quickly, trying to figure this out, before gently lifting Vincent's head and trying to position it on a pill—

"Gilbert . . . ?"

Oh, well, that worked for two seconds.

You can make out a few petals from flowers, lots and lots of material related to books, and a charred eye that probably belonged to a stuffed animal. :'(

[okok, looking for a pattern, then. Maybe noting which books are near the gaps and lean on each other]
