[heart game]

There is a click, a soft urging, almost whispered too soft to hear, but you can sense that you are being beckoned somewhere, lead to an elaborate open door with wood panels and great curls of gold leaf. You cannot see what is beyond the door, but it smells sour and sharp. Before you can turn over the thought of should you or shouldn't you, if you are the kind, there is a quiet push at your back and through the door you go . . .

Join #supersafe, because I like being misleading. When in doubt, use this for flower meanings if you character is the type . . .

[looks around for a moment and then moves to examine the bookshelf]

The bookshelf stretches impossibly high, able to hold a great deal of books. However, there are many half-open books with huge fist fulls of pages missing from them. There are quite a few books with different colored bindings, but not many of them are in any proper order, shame.

[picking up one of the half-open books to look through it]

An artist of some kind, how fascin—

[hm. Well. Puts that one down and checks out the books with the colored bindings]

[personal profile] dramatispersonae 2013-07-23 01:23 am (UTC)(link)
There are twenty different colors! How will you choose?!
fraternalorders: (And you wouldn't even notice)

[personal profile] fraternalorders 2013-07-23 01:46 am (UTC)(link)
[idk maybe I will have a look at the titles, if there are any]

[personal profile] dramatispersonae 2013-07-23 01:50 am (UTC)(link)

[picking up the one that says "Sasuke"]

An unimaginative but strong-willed child . . . If he were given a direction, guidance, he could go far.

He seems to be rather confused when it comes to me. It is charming how taken he is with his brother, but lost when it comes to approaching him.
fraternalorders: (People aren't going to know I'm there)

[frowns a bit at that, then goes to pick up the one entitled "Itachi"]

[personal profile] dramatispersonae 2013-07-23 02:03 am (UTC)(link)
So, this would be the dear brother. He does have some measure of intelligence, so it would be best to play well with him.

There is a great wedge here to be taken advantage of . . .

[oh really]

[putting those books back and choosing the one that says "Maleficent"]

[personal profile] dramatispersonae 2013-07-23 02:13 am (UTC)(link)
The temperamental mistress of Onyx . . . She seems to be involved in the greater story of Aather, but she still exists here as any of us.

Highly practical, difficult to deal with but not impossible.
fraternalorders: (Like the shadow serpent)

[personal profile] fraternalorders 2013-07-23 02:25 am (UTC)(link)
[psh she's not that difficult]

[puts the books back and pauses, studying the shelf again. Just how out of order are they?]

[personal profile] dramatispersonae 2013-07-23 02:30 am (UTC)(link)
They aren't in order of color, and you can see there are a few gaps where the books lean on each other . . . Perhaps, there is another system at work here.

[personal profile] fraternalorders 2013-07-23 02:34 am (UTC)(link)
[okok, looking for a pattern, then. Maybe noting which books are near the gaps and lean on each other]

[personal profile] dramatispersonae 2013-07-23 02:48 am (UTC)(link)
Lelouch leans on Oz, Maleficent upon Chariot, Leo upon Sharon . . . It doesn't take long to realize that books that are reached for most often, such as Obsidian, are kept at level that is in easy reach. The more distant books have titles like Persephone and Kitsune.

[oh I see]

[leaves things as they are, then, and goes to examine the chaise]

[personal profile] dramatispersonae 2013-07-23 02:57 am (UTC)(link)
It is neatly set in order with the pillows put in place, and the blanket folded over. Any scraps of debris and the like have been taken away, since someone is a bit of a maid when in heart games, hmm.
fraternalorders: (Okay...defense...strategy)

[personal profile] fraternalorders 2013-07-23 03:08 am (UTC)(link)
[well, okay then, heading to the marble wall and towards the door]
