There is a click, a soft urging, almost whispered too soft to hear, but you can sense that you are being beckoned somewhere, lead to an elaborate open door with wood panels and great curls of gold leaf. You cannot see what is beyond the door, but it smells sour and sharp. Before you can turn over the thought of should you or shouldn't you, if you are the kind, there is a quiet push at your back and through the door you go . . .

"And you decided to poke around in here for something? That's far fetched, tch."

Elliot does let go of him, though.

Well there's not any hospital around.

He turns to pick up a candle from a covered table, then he starts to walk down the hall with a practiced ease. Perhaps, you should follow?

"I'll fix that finger, so you can stop crying already. But that doesn't mean you're going to get away with sneaking into here!"

He knows, and he is glancing back with a scowl to keep an eye on those wandering hands. Eventually, he arrives at a more comfortable room. There is an arm chair that is uncovered from the black cloth along with a side table that he sets the candle on. After some rustling in a bureau, he holds up some bandages.

"Now, be a man, and hold still."

Don't you have painkillers or something?

"You don't need anodyne for something this small. If you didn't want to be hurt, then you shouldn't have gotten it broken to begin with!"

Elliot may not be the best at bandages, but he does a modest job. It should do.

"Hah! So? Accidents happen, glass breaks, you clean it up, then go on with it. Don't you have an ounce of shame in you?"

A glass breaking isn't the same as a bone breaking.

"If you're any kind of man, this isn't the first time you've broken a bone before."

Elliot takes a seat in the arm chair when he finishes.

It doesn't hurt less the more it happens. What kind of insensitive jerk are you?

"I'm a man who has some pride and doesn't cry over small scrapes!"

It's not some insignificant scrape!

"It's just your finger, brat. Now, explain yourself! What were you really doing here?"

It hurts. And I'm looking for Vincent.

There is a mixture of insult and anger as he smiles.

"Hah, and you're looking here? As if he'd come to this place!"

Why won't he come here?

"Don't ask me to figure that man out. He doesn't make any sense at all, always doing just as he pleases, tch."
