You cannot see what is beyond the door, but it smells sour and sharp. Before you can turn over the thought of should you or shouldn't you, if you are the kind, there is a quiet push at your back and through the door you go . . .

Vincent flops down, putting a pillow over his head. Wow, mature. Gilbert looks helplessly between the two.

Vincent makes a noise, putting a hand over the pillow.

. . . Stop stammering like that too. The real Gilbert sounds much cooler.

Vincent, I have something I need to give you. You can either sit up and take it, or I can put it on you myself.

Gilbert looks affronted, but he swallows that down. Vincent is staying under his pillow, tyvm.

That would be highly romantic in another scenario . . . However, Vincent peeks out under the pillow before furiously sitting up, going for the ring immediately, and Gilbert covers his hands.

Look, Gilbert wants you to leave it on too.

Gilbert does not look pleased to be lumped in with that, but he does slowly let go of Vincent's hand. Vincent, in turn, still looks incensed and is staring down Kaoru angrily.

That's kind of an acknowledgement?
